Meeting devoted to the 90th annyversary of scientifist, professor A.A.Akberbekov was held 18.03.2017
On March 17, 2017, a meeting was held in honor of the 90th anniversary of the representative of the gold fund of the Azerbaijani medicine - Alakbar Allahyar oglu Alabparbayov, which played a major role in the scientific council of the Azerbaijan State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors named after Aziz Aliyev who devoted most of his life to improving the system of medicine and training national personnel.
The rector of the Institute, Professor Nazim Gasimov, opened the meeting with his speech, congratulating the jubilee and wishing him a long life and health. The rector said that Alakbarbayov is one of those good teachers that know the profession from depth, objective, exacting, always improving himself and relating to work with respect. In this regard, he earned great respect from the team. Since 1962, A. Alakbarbayov's activity is connected with the Azerbaijan State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors named after Aziz Aliyev. Starting with the post of assistant of the department of radiology, he rose to the post of head of the department and worked in this position for 40 years. The professor teaches radiology for 55 years and has trained many qualified personnel and has received many awards. He spent a lot of effort in training cadets, teaching them the subtleties of the profession, creating a large school of radiologists. It is safe to say that more than 200 doctors-radiologists working in the medical field of Azerbaijan are his graduates. Taking into account the scientific achievements of Professor A. A. Alakbarbayov, he was awarded a honorary title as a distinguished scientist from the state. He received many diplomas many times. Professor A. A. Alakbarbayov has extensive scientific knowledge, a very competent doctor and a high-ranking teacher.
Further, the head of the department of radiation diagnostics, docent Farida Nasirova in her report told about the life, activity in practical medicine and scientific and pedagogical sphere of the honored worker of science, the competent scientist and organizer of public health, Professor A. A. Alakbarbayov. She noted that while admiring Professor A. A. Alakbarbayov, we can say with confidence that his life's path is an example for today's youth. Then the reporter by the name of the collective congratulated A. A. Alakbarbayov on his 90th birthday, wishing him sincerely health, a long life and new successes.
The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector Mammadali Maibaliyev, Professor Fazil Aghayev, Professor Oktay Saidbayov, Ph.D. Leyla Rzaquliyeva, Ph.D Fuad Sardarli, docent Elmira Gadimova, Chief Doctor of the Republican Hospital Telman Ibadov, Head of the Training Department of the Institute Mugabil Mursalov and others, which said only good things about a jubilee. Further, A. A. Alakbarbayov expressed gratitude to the whole staff and participants of the meeting, headed by the rector of the Institute, Professor N. A. Gasymov.

These are integral attributes of developing modern medicine of the XXI century. Professor V.A.Tarnogradskiy, M.M.Efendiyev and B.A.Agayev were the first rectors of the institute. Academician Aziz Aliyev played great role for revival of our institute. The institute named after him since 1962 year according to resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers based on request of institute’s staff. Talented and highly qualified medical personnel, including M.Mammadov, M.X. Yagubov, S.M. Gusman, I.I.Lukov, S.G.Stain, N.M. Israfilova, P.P. Popov, S.İ.Velikhan, etc. was established in Azerbaijan during these years.
