On December 19, 2023, an expert meeting was held in Frankfurt, Germany, on the topic “Treatment of hemophilia patients with A-inhibitors”. Germany, Switzerland, Kazakhstan, Belarus and Azerbaijan also took part in the meeting, which took place at the Frankfurt Main Hemophilia Centre, considered the leading hemophilia center in Europe. The main purpose of the meeting was to evaluate the results of using various international protocols for the treatment of patients with hemophilia complicated by inhibitors, and to select the most optimal methods of therapy.
At the meeting, Gunel Alizadeh, assistant of the Department of Hematology at ASATID named after A. Aliyev, made a report. The experience of treating patients with hemophilia in our country was received with interest by international experts.
All specialists discussed and exchanged opinions about several serious patients whose treatment required a consultation. The patient, brought up for discussion by the Azerbaijan Hemophilia Center, was received with interest, and the treatment tactics were assessed correctly.
The main expert and moderator of the meeting, Carmen Escuriola, head of the Frankfurt Hemophilia Center, gave a final presentation, thanking the countries that shared their experiences and evaluating effective treatments.
