One of the most important ways to improve the quality of medical care for the population and bring it to the world standards is to ensure compliance with the standards of medical education. In such conditions, Azerbaijan State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors named after A. Aliyev is trying to build its work in accordance with modern requirements. In order to improve the quality of education at the institute, in order to attract educational and scientific-pedagogical personnel from many higher medical educational institutions of the world, the leading specialists of the departments of the educational institution sent to Baku to study their specialties and topics. This approach is very effective and rises great interest among local specialists and allows us to apply the knowledge and skills gained by our doctors in these courses in continuous production practice. This practice will be actively continued during the post-pandemic period.
At the same time, as another form of international education, the Azerbaijan State Advanced Training Institute for Doctors named after A. Aliyev, on the initiative of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan, conducts training for residents in prestigious higher medical educational institutions of a number of foreign countries. At this moment, 40 residents of many faculties of the institute have taken these courses at prestigious medical universities in Germany, Turkey, Belarus and Russia.
These institutions are Istanbul University School of Medicine in Turkey, Istanbul Culture University, Teaching and Research Hospital in Goztepe, faculty of medicine of Erciyes University, faculty of medicine of Kocaeli University, faculty of medicine of Mustafa Kamal Tayfur Ata Sekmen, faculty of medicine of Dokuz Eilul University, Medical University, faculty of medicine of Egül University, faculty of medicine of Ankara University, Ankara City Children's Hospital, Teaching and Research Hospital named after Ataturk in Ankara, Brüderkrankenhaus Hospital, KMG Elbtalklinik Clinic, St. Anne-Wirngrund Clinic in Elwangen, Germany, Russian State Academy of Postgraduate Education, St. Petersburg Medical University, Scientific Center for Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Republic of Belarus, International Conference Center in Vienna, Austria. In these institutions, physicians received extensive information on topical issues of medicine, mastered modern methods of diagnosis and treatment.
After a forced break due to the COVID 19 pandemic, international training of our citizens has been resumed at our institute by order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The competition was held by 12 residents who were selected for rotation in neurology, pediatrics and plastic surgery of the Scientific Center of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the Republic of Belarus, the Faculty of Medicine of the Aegean University, the children's hospital in Ankara, the educational and research hospital of the Istanbul University of Culture in Goztepe, the Faculty of Medicine of the Istanbul University, Russian Academy of Postgraduate Education in Traumatology, Obstetrics and Gynecology. Three of them have already started training, the rest will leave in the coming days.
